Let’s crack this case together!

🦹‍♂️ Let’s start off by looking critically at your current brand and asking: are there elements that could be improved to make your brand identity more unique, more consistent, and better at visually reinforcing your brand story?

This section is all about finding areas of improvement to amp up your branding
Do you think your current branding feels unique? Does it stand out from other businesses in your same niche or industry? Why or why not?
Ex: My current color palette of all neutrals feels very similar to a lot of other pottery studios online. I wonder if I could introduce a signature pop of color to make mine stand out a bit more? ****

Do you think your current branding feels intentional and consistent? Does every section of your website or social posts or brand collateral utilize the same brand fonts, colors, and graphics?
Ex: Some of the sections of my website feel kind of bland and simple. If I had a few more brand graphics, I could add a touch here or there to my photos or backgrounds to make them feel more intentionally branded. ****

Do you think your current brand reinforces what makes your business unique and special? What parts of your story do you want your customer to know about and in what ways can you visually bolster those concepts?
Ex: I’m a therapist who actually got my start in the military. I bring a regimented, systematic approach to my healing practice. Maybe my brand could do a better job of displaying the balance of order and flow that I bring to my work.

What else do you like or dislike about your current branding? What’s working and what’s not?

✨ Now that you know what could possibly be improved, let’s look for a little inspiration and spark that creativity!

Time to find sparks of inspiration you can use to feed your creativity.
Write down any phrases or copy/paste any colors, visuals, ideas, concepts, shapes, objects, etc. that you really LOVE as a starting place for your brand. What feels central to what you want to project in your business to your customer?
Sometimes words and phrases also really inspire me and help me follow the inspiration bread crumbs!
You can create a mind map with a pen and paper, or you can use a digital tool like Whimsical (free) and embed it in your Notion page.

🖼️ Finally, it’s time to make a mood board! Take all the ideas you chased down in your clue-finding mission and streamline them into a concise image collage and color palette that reinforces your brand tone words.
